The 2025 MLK Day March and Program
The MLK Commemorative March will begin at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Once again we are expecting frigid temperatures. Please dress for the weather conditions. In addition, Metro is providing 2 buses, named in honor of Rosa Parks, for those who wish to ride along the march route. We invite you to also attend the indoor program at Music Hall beginning 12:00 p.m.. The program will also be live streamed on our website. Both events are free and open to the public.
As always, the event will feature inspiring music by the MLK Chorale, Baba Charles and the Samba Band, and new this year, the pre-program will include a group of Steppers. The keynote address will be by Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries, Professor of History, Ohio State University, whose words will motivate us all to continue the essential work of advancing equity, justice, and freedom.
